Lisa Wagner

Lisa Wagner


Lisa Wagner has devoted her career to Family Law. She has built her reputation over many years working for a range of family law firms, both in the city and regionally, before becoming the founding principal of her own firm. Lisa is an experienced practitioner and litigator, and is well respected by her peers.

Having studied economics, she is particularly adept at offering her client’s advice regarding property settlements involving multiple assets, family businesses and superannuation splitting. As well as property and financial matters, Lisa has extensive experience in matters concerning parenting arrangements and child support. Lisa also acts as a court appointed Independent Children’s Lawyer for children in difficult and complex parenting cases.

Lisa’s aim is to provide her clients with exceptional service. Practicing law for Lisa is about being able to assist her clients with expert guidance and representation regarding family law matters. Lisa is an Accredited Family Law specialist and a nationally registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

Lisa is also focused on giving back to the community. She has supported a range of community and pro bono initiatives, including the Manly Community Legal Centre and the North Shore Family Lawyers Practice Group.

Lisa has been identified as a recommended family lawyer in Doyles Guide.

Lisa believes that great law firms are focused on service. She has created Doolan Wagner to offer a dedicated and specialised family law practice, with a strong service and solution focus for her clients.


Prue Hawkes

Prue Hawkes


Prue has practised as a Family Lawyer since graduating with a Bachelor of Law with Honours from Macquarie University in 2012.

Prue also holds a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) and a Bachelor of Business Administration and was placed on the Dean’s List for Academic Achievement whilst undertaking part of her studies in the United States.

As well as practicing as a Family Lawyer, Prue has undertaken work in country New South Wales as a general practitioner, working in conveyancing, crime and the care jurisdiction. This background of general practice provides Prue with the capacity to recognise and address some of the unique situations faced by her family law clients.

Prior to her time in country New South Wales Prue worked as a Research Officer for the Judicial Commission of New South Wales. Her experience with the Judicial Commission has enabled her to develop a keen eye for detail in applying the law.

Prue’s reputation for providing quality legal service is only complimented by her strength in advocacy. She is adept at presenting her client’s cases in both the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Court in the event that an out-of-court settlement is not possible.

In addition to her practice Prue has spent time undertaking volunteer work at Legal Aid, Macquarie Legal Centre and working with the New South Wales Aboriginal Legal Services.

Prue has a particular interest in seeking solutions for clients that are sustainable and tailor-made to their particular situation. Prue recognises that each family is unique and has its own priorities and challenges. With this in mind we are confident that you, as Prue’s client, will benefit from her warm and compassionate approach as she seeks to resolve your family law matter efficiently and cost effectively.

Lucy Warhurst

Lucy completed her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Sydney and also holds a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours.

Lucy has experience in complex property matters, spouse maintenance, and parenting disputes, including matters involving allegations of risk, domestic and international relocation and Hague Convention applications.

Whenever possible, Lucy assists her clients to reach negotiated settlements, without recourse to the Court system.

Lucy’s considered and practical approach to family law litigation intersects with her naturally empathetic approach to achieve constructive resolutions that mitigate the adverse impact of relationship breakdowns on her clients and their children.  Lucy has extensive experience conducting family law matters before the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia to the Final Hearing stage, should the need arise.

Prior to joining Doolan Wagner Family Lawyers Lucy was working in the community legal sector undertaking a variety of family law work and assisting individuals and families resolve what were often complex legal issues.

Highly understanding and warm, Lucy is particularly adept at providing support to her clients as they face the challenges that arise following separation.

Lucy is currently completing her Masters in Family Law to further compliment her experience.

Lucy continues to undertake pro bono work at Marrickville Legal Centre.

Lucy will without exception actively seek the best outcome for you and your family.

Ashleigh Middlin

Ashleigh Middlin

Senior Family Lawyer

Ashleigh holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of New South Wales.

Ashleigh commenced her career working in the area of child protection involving allegations and concerns of child abuse, Domestic Violence and Family Violence.

During this period she was involved in conducting early intervention risk and harm assessments, making reports to appropriate child safety departments across Australia, offering information and referrals to appropriate services and providing ongoing support to clients affected by child abuse or concerned about the welfare of a child.

In the last four years, Ashleigh has built on that experience assisting clients in complex parenting and property matters, including; Care and Protection, Domestic and Family Violence, Relocation, Airport Watch List, Child Support and Binding Child Support Agreements, Parenting Plans and care arrangements for children, Consent Orders, Property settlements after separation, Mediation (property and/or parenting), Family businesses and trusts, Superannuation splitting, Binding Financial Agreements, Spouse Maintenance, De facto relationships, and Divorce.

Ashleigh understands that the Family Law process is difficult and she is focused on assisting clients to finalise their matter as efficiently and cost-effective as possible. Ashleigh will provide considered and practical advice and will tailor her approach to the needs of each individual client.

In circumstances where Court cannot be avoided, Ashleigh is a strong advocate and regularly appears in the Sydney and Parramatta Registries of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia.

Ashleigh’s empathetic and compassionate approach will ensure that you feel supported through this difficult process.

Anthony Saba

Anthony Saba

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame.  Prior to joining Doolan Wagner Family Lawyers, Anthony worked for the past five years exclusively in family law in two other specialist CBD family law firms.

Anthony understands how complex and difficult separations can be for families and works hard to assist clients through those challenges.

Anthony brings with him a wealth of experience in many other areas of law including commercial disputes, criminal matters and care and protection.  Anthony has acted in complex property matters and parenting matters including difficult relocation matters and in matters where domestic violence has factored heavily.

His ability to provide concise and helpful advice whilst remaining considerate and caring are attributes that set Anthony apart from other solicitors within his profession.  Anthony is always able to speak with clients and understands the importance of prioritising the reduction of stress for clients.

Anthony is commencing his Masters in Family Law in early 2020 to further assist in achieving the best result possible for his clients.

Sara Arnold

Sara Arnold

Sara holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Business Management and is currently completing her Masters of Laws (Family Law).

Sara is experienced in providing advice in respect of property and parenting matters, as well as more complex matters involving Hague Convention Applications and Relocation.

In addition to practicing in family law, Sara is an experienced legal practitioner and has also undertaken legal work in commercial litigation where Sara has assisted her clients with navigating and resolving their commercial disputes.

Sara’s commercial background compliments her practising as a family lawyer.  Her commercial experience allows her to identify various issues and provide the most practical and cost-effective solutions and advice for her clients in respect of settlements involving businesses as well as other financial matters.

Given Sara’s litigation experience, Sara strives to obtain the best possible outcome for her clients and strongly believes that all aspects of alternative dispute resolution be explored to try and resolve the dispute in an efficient and cost-effective manner prior to resorting to litigation.

However, where litigation cannot be avoided, Sara is adept at representing her clients in both the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court.

In addition to practicing as a solicitor, Sara is also focused on giving back to the community and provides ongoing mentoring and career advice to young people in the Western Sydney region.

Stuart’s meticulous eye for detail and ability to prioritise many competing tasks ensures the smooth running of all of our family law matters.
